We are incredibly excited to announce an interdisciplinary symposium by the LMU Center for Advanced Studies (CAS) which is co-organized by the LMU Open Science Center (OSC):
“Prediction, Registration, and Replication of Scientific Findings”
The symposium aims to bring together researchers from several disciplines to discuss recent developments in the agenda of transparent and reproducible science. It consists of presentation for around 40 minutes each followed by short discussions with the audience. Each day of the symposium closes with a general discussion. Among others, the following topics are covered in the symposium:
- Preregistration and Pre-analysis plan
- Prediction of Experimental Outcomes
- Registered Reports
- Peer Review and Selective Reporting
The list of speakers consists of scientists from many different universities and disciplines including Abel Brodeur (Ottawa/Economics), Christopher Chambers (Cardiff/Cognitive Neuroscience), Anna Dreber (Stockholm School of Economics/Economics), Tom Hardwicke (Amsterdam/Psychology), Sabine Hoffmann (LMU/Medical Information Processing,), Macartan Humphreys (Columbia University/Political Science), Maximilian Kasy (Oxford/Economics), Felix Schönbrodt (LMU/Psychology) and Eva Vivalt (Toronto/Economics).
