OSC’s Conference Poster
April 28, 2026
The LMU Open Science Center (OSC) will present a poster at FOR2026 Munich – The Future of Open Research: Reliable, Responsible, Equitable, taking place from 4–6 May 2026 at the Institute for Advanced Study, Technical University of Munich.
Our poster can be viewed and downloaded here: https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.19626906.
It highlights our efforts to embed open research practices - such as preregistration, data management, reproducible analysis workflows, and FAIR sharing of data, code, and research materials - at LMU Munich and beyond through a multi-angle approach.
We focus on two key initiatives:
- Switch-to-Open: a structured training and consultation program that helps research groups integrate open research practices across the full project life-cycle, from planning and data management to reproducible analysis and FAIR sharing.
- Train-the-Trainer: a program designed to equip researchers and research support staff with the pedagogical skills needed to teach and advocate for Open Research practices and tools within their own communities.
These initiatives are built on a broader foundation of accessible learning opportunities, including:
- A free self-learning catalogue of online tutorials and lecture recordings
- Regular workshops and events throughout the year
- Our annual Open Science Summer School
Together, these initiatives aim to make open research practices more practical, scalable, and sustainable across disciplines.
