SHARP Becomes a Funding Institutional Member
May 5, 2026
Collaborative Research Centre TRR419 Simulation-Based Learning in Higher Education. Advancing Research on Process Diagnostics and Personalised Interventions (SHARP) becomes the newest Funding Institutional Member to support the OSC!
As detailed in their mission statement, they “support the development of open research practices, sustainable research data management, and reproducible workflows across collaborative projects. [Their] involvement reflects [their] commitment to methodological rigor, shared infrastructures, and the transparent dissemination of scientific knowledge in interdisciplinary and data-intensive research.”
Effective collaboration has already begun:
OSC coordinator Malika Ihle offered training to SHARP Center’s PhD students in April 2026 to introduce the advantages of various open research practices. The group discussed how to improve replicability, through increasing reliability with preregistration, data simulation, and power analyses, and through increasing reproducibility with computing skills, and FAIR research outputs. As a member of SHARP, Prof. Dr. Anne Frenzel’s research team is partaking in the Switch to Open Program (SwOP). This involves training and consultations on their research practices, and the co-creation of a tailored research practices lab handbook - based on our template research cycle handbook - that will be made available for all SHARP research groups to adapt and adopt.
We are thrilled to welcome SHARP as an Institutional Member and look forward to continuing and deepening our collaboration!
