Mission Statement

I am Professor of International Comparative Public Policy at the Geschwister Scholl Institute of Political Science.

I am an elected member of the German Data Forum (RatSWD, 2020-2023) advising the government on expanding and improving the research data infrastructure for the empirical social, behavioral and economic sciences. My own discipline, political science, is becoming much more open, but compared to some other disciplines there is still a long way to go. I hope to positively contribute to this journey.
